Book Fair ~ Thursday ~ Lolita fashion, Accessories and Merchandise

Hello readers!

The first day of the bookfair in Leipzig was thursday for me. This was the first time I went on there this early in the week. Usually I visited the fair from friday to sunday or just on the weekend.

It was also the first time I wore Innocent World. I felt in love with IW before but I never really felt like this is my style. That changed and nothing will stop me from wearing all sorts of dresses now. Matching the book fair I wore Royal Library. Book themed clothes are just amazing and so is this dress. The print is detailed and delicat with golden details and german words on the book spines. One of the things I love about IW is the fact that they make long and short versions of their dresses. I wore the long version and it's really nice for taller people. Althrough I'm just 170cm but this would also be great for people who are around 10cm taller.

Like I wrote in the previous post, I love the opportunity to meet people at this event. So it was especially great Dani and I spend some time together since we live quite far away from each other. She wore a great Cheshire Cat and Halloween themed dress from a independent designer.

The Book Fair has its own hall for comics, mangas, merchandise and a lot other japan related things.
The J-store had two booths. One was of the store from berlin and the other from the one from hamburg. The shop sells exclusively for Germany Innocent World clothes. They also have other Lolita items in their shops. Like pieces by Angelic Pretty or from indie designers.

There were a lot of shops with shirts and merchandise. I'm not that interessted in mangas and anime but there was also tv show, movie or book related stuff.

One of the most amazing booths was by far by Melty Wish. It's a shop for hand-made accessories. You can find everything there from cute and colourful to flowery and classical. Good I was so short in budget otherwise nothing would have stopped me from buying a lot of jewellery. I ended up with buying nothing but with the shop in mind and the stone solid wish to buy a tone when I've the money for it.

As I already wrote a lot of merchandise. And those life size pillows with characters I don't know on them. There were also shops with japanese food. Pocky! And Kitkat flowers we don't have, like matcha or sakura.

Than I ran into May. She doesn't wore Lolita that day, but looked incredible stylish. I loved her hair. She worked for Kawaiimono. They sell cute phone cases and accessories.

Mabu in Fancy Paper Dolls by Angelic Pretty is the owner of Kawaiimono. It was just a small booth but with so much cuteness and pastel awesomeness.

There was something that was sold at many places and one cuter than the other: plush toys. For me these are just dust collectors, but I can not deny that I was caught by their cuteness. Some were not that cute though. But the greatest of them all was the giant Dōmo-kun. Which, to be precise, wasn't a plush toy.

There were also numerous possibilities for people who wanted to buy accessories.

The same goes for action figures. As I already wrote this is not my cup of tea. But I know there are a lot of people who are interessted in figures and some of my friends do like them as well. They told me, that the prices were quite good. Usually fairs tend to be more expensive but it depends on the goods I guess.

I liked the fact that they had traditional japanese things as well. Like kimonos, tableware and also foods. There was a place for traditional archery and a tea garden.

But there was not just japanese food. You could also buy excessively overpriced sweets, fast food and other stuff.

Did I mentioned the merchandise? There were goods of tv shows like The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Supernatural and movies like The Avengers, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Star Wars and Cinderella and many more.

Almost in the end of the day we met Kanon. She wore an incredibly amazing dress from a indie brand. It's just gorgeous and made from a very nice light chiffon with a haptic palpable gold print. The light purple wig she completed the outfit with made it perfect.

Well, that was the first post to the book fair 2016. The next will follow soon. Thanks for reading!

Pre-Book Fair, Books and Bunnies

Hello readers!

Tomorrow starts one of my favorite events of the year: the Book Fair in Leipzig.
I hope I meet everyone who lives far away and where this is one of the rare times we can spend time with each other. But I'm also happy to see some of the people who live here or near my city. This event is a good opportunity to meet people.

There are 4 days, Thursday to Sunday, which are open to visitors. Because Saturday was unbearably crowded the last years, especially last year, I'll visit the fair only on the other days.

I took a break from my blog last year. Because I didn't wrote anything back then and also didn't upload any pictures here, I want to show you now one photo of Friday last year.

Me in AP's Lyrical Bunny. Picture taken by the lovely Maria and edited by me.
I'm not really sure what I'll wear this year. But I think it's a book fair, so Innocent World's Royal Library is a good choise.

I really look forward to the next days. Thank you for reading!

2. Eastern Elegance Fairytale Christmas Teaparty

Hello readers!

Last year, in early december, there was the second Christmas Teaparty of our central germany community.

I went there with a friend and we both photographed. He took the 'official' pictures. His camera, lenses and all the equipment is just amazing. I used some of his pictures in this blog post, but the most are taken by me. Sadly I didn't took that many pictures and some came out bad. But baby steps. I'm just going back to all that and I hope I get better. And: I'm so sorry for all the food pictures. There is no defense .... I love food.

Since it became a real struggle for me to go to events, travel, photograph and everything, I was quite happy I actually attended and that I spend some time with nice people.
It was a pretty great event with an incredible buffet, a raffle, goodie bags for every guest and lots of beautiful dressed people. The theme was Fairytale Christmas. I kind of failed to dress up matching to that, but some of the others really looked like they just stepped out of a fairy tale.

So first, a group picture:

I didn't try to hide here, we were sorted by colour and there were more darker coloured outfits. so we stood in three rows and i'm in the last one. Falk took this picture.
Here we are. The food. Nearly everything was made by our organizer and some others.
Canapes, salads, muffins, kebabs, cakes, mousse, chocolate, lots of sweets and so much more. Whether hearty or sweet, there was everything.
Kitty matched the food. She looked great in here sweet outfit. It's handmade!
That's my plate and a picture of the beautiful print of my neighbor at the table with my dress. I wore AP's Toy March in the best colourway ever: a rich dark blue and she wore Classic Fairy Tales in the perfect green colour.
I wore super bold blue eyeshadow. It's actually way more prettier than any picture can show. It's a shimmery dark blue. I think the makeup, headdress and also the rest of my outfit came out quite well. I was not sure about the weird mixture of colours I tried to combine. You can not see my full outfit here, but there will follow some pictures with everything visible.
I'm in love with that dress and that print. It's gorgeous. I took a full picture because the whole outfit was great but it was too blurry. You may see a little more on the group picture above.
After eating something we went outside for some pictures. Caro wore super adorable jewellery with her Melty Royal Chocolate.
Mimi in AP's Musee du Chocolat. She's just acting naturally here.
The headpiece! Susann wore Mercator Antique Shop with a stunning golden headband with halo by Linda Friesen.
It was very cold and we waited in a little group. I went inside after some pictures because it was to cold to stay. Some waited quite long.
Pauline made her dress and the bonnet herself. She looked beautiful.
I really like how the picture of Kerstin came out. Nora wore Musee du Chocolat under her coat. She twinned with Mimi.
Pia in her wonderful outfit. That dress looks so pretty. Love the colours.
The headpiece with all the roses and the crown reminded me on Dolce & Gabbana. Especially the headpiece Zhenya Katava wore at the RTW S/S 2015 show. Love it.
The left picture with Julia H. was an outtake. But I really like the mood of it. The white dress with the red accents makes a lovely fairytale like look.
Here at the left you see the 'real' picture. The right one was taken by Falk. I wore AP's Toy March. It was the 2nd time and for that event I thought it could be a little more over the top. That's why I tried to combine the dark blue and red with pink and a litlle bit white and gold.
Dress, Socks, Headbow, Pony: Angelic Pretty / Blouse & Bow tie: Dear Celine / Shoes: Secret Shop / Brooch: Sweet Sakura / Jewellery: H&M, New Yorker, Claires, ebay and random shops
Jennifer wore such an impressive headpiece. And it was very christmassy.
I took some random pictures at the end of the day...
There was a piano. You can see a little bit of it here. But I didn't took pictures there. Falk did. They are great.
This is a close-up of Mimis jewellery. I like it.
I won this headdress at the raffle. My pony looks nice with it.
This is my goodie bag.
And that was all. It was a great event and I'm looking forward to next year. I hope my health gets better, because at the end it was very exhausting. One of my biggest problems is the inability to filter sounds, smells and visual impressions, so shortly said to filter my environment. And the uncontrolled shaking of my hands and body isn't great either. Especially when it comes to photography. I hope these things get better. Enough of that.
To end this post in a lighter way, I share this beauty of a photographic masterpiece:

A new Day a fresh Start

Hello readers,

i'm back! After this unplanned long break I now start over with some changes. Blogging somehow became a work-like thing to me and I want to have fun here again. Back to just blogging like nobody is watching. In the end I used to think way to much about what to blog. Now I'll hope that I manage to go back to write about everything I like to have here. So this will be place filled with nice memories and things I want to share like some drawings, photography or even crafting projects and maybe some other things.

This posts looks a little epmty, so here is one of the latest drawings in my sketchbook. I still like it and that's quite rare. Hope you like it too.

Materieal I used: gel-pen, copic marker, gold pen, golden nail polish, and colourless nail polish with glitter particles...hahah

Gold, Feathers and Ponies - Christmas is near

Hello readers!

It's December! I'll not write much today, i just want to share some outfits with you.
It seemed to me that I didn't wore Lolita in years. Well, this weekend will be a Christmas Teaparty and I'll be there. So finally a nice occasion to wear a pretty and detailed outfit.

But first some pictures of three outfits from a while back.
They all have ponies somewhere, a little gold and feathers. Because at the moment I love to add feathers to my head accessories.
Also, I always wore the same blouse. This is something I like to do. I take a dress or another garment and try to wear it with as many as possible outfits.
I'm sorry for the lighting. It was pretty dark outside that day and my light is a joke.

Dress - Angelic Pretty Toy March // Blouse - taobao // OTKs - Angelic Pretty // Shoes - An*Tai*Na // Hat - handmade // Headbow - Angelic Pretty // Bag - Angelic Pretty Pony // Accessories - Angelic Pretty, offbrand
I love this dress. I'll wear it for the Christmas event, but in an other outfit.
Dress - Angelic Pretty Twinkle Carnival // Blouse - taobao // OTKs - Alice and the Pirates // Shoes - An*Tai*Na // Headbow - Angelic Pretty (I added a feather) // Bag - Angelic Pretty // Umbrella - Lisbeth Dahl // Accessories - offbrand
Dress - Angelic Pretty Royal Unicorn // Blouse - taobao // OTKs - Angelic Pretty // Shoes - An*Tai*Na // Headbow - Angelic Pretty // Head accessories - H&M (sadly the feather is missing here on the picture) // Bag - Angelic Pretty // Umbrella - Lisbeth Dahl // Accessories - offbrand
Thank you for reading and see you soon with a post about the Christmas Teaparty!

The pumpkin told me to dance & I just jumped with my hands on my hips to the left back in time

Hello readers,

so today is Halloween. I decided to write something, because I felt the need to do so. I'm a horrible blogger and the time gaps between the posts are getting bigger and bigger.

First something halloweenish, because I just found this on my external hard drive and now I want to share it everywhere. It’s an edited scan of a drawing in my sketchbook i did around halloween last year.

And this is the page without my weird editing I did back then for whatever reason.

It'll might get better somewhen in the near future. But in the meantime there's just no real occasion to blog. However, if there is a nice event, if I eventually find the inspiration and draw or if there are a few nice photos in Lolita, I'll post them here.

I also thought about the opportunity to write down some thoughts here. What I think about creativity and the possibilities of expression in Lolita fashion. What I think about creativity in general, and on the creative manufacturing of handmade designs in particular. And also about the changes, communities and the changes of communities in the worldwide Lolita community.
But for now I'll do nothing of the sort. Simply because this has to be good planned entries and I've to write other things first. Not here, for university. But if this massive paperwork should be done at some point, then I'll have more time and inclination for my blog again. Because I actually really liked blogging. And living. Two of the things I don't really do at the moment.
Well, university means, opt for two of these things: enough sleep, good grades or social life.
Only two, three aren't possible.
This entry ended pretty creepy. Actually I should now write something funny to bright up the mood again. Unfortunately I can not think of anything funny.

Thanks for reading and
Happy Halloween!
